Transcendent Wellness Yoga Teacher Training
Our Approach
Transcendent Wellness believes that yoga is a powerful tool for bringing clarity, understanding, and balance to our lives. Our program comprises 200 hours of in-depth study, practice, and teaching. We offer a comprehensive curriculum covering the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology, yogic philosophy, and practical aspects of teaching yoga. The program is designed for individuals who want to deepen their understanding and experience of the yogic process, even if they don't currently have a desire to teach.

What Is A 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training?
Embark on a transformative journey with a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. This comprehensive program covers essential topics, including:

Our goal is to help every student discover and embrace their true selves, and to express their authentic selves in their daily lives. We believe that practicing yoga can empower individuals to do this. Our training equips aspiring teachers with the tools and skills to ask questions, deepen their practice, and share it with others. Throughout this training, we study yoga in a supportive community of like-minded students who want to make a positive and lasting impact on themselves and the world.
How is Transcendent Wellness Yoga Teacher Training Different?



In this training, you will receive:

A deep understanding of the fascial and polyvagal systems and their influences on your yoga practices. Specifically:

Their impact on the energetic system

Their role in healing from trauma

How to organize your yoga practice to promote physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual healing

How to structure your classes to be sensitive to trauma

How to use yoga poses to aid in the healing of physical, emotional, and sexual trauma

How to establish and maintain a safe space for your students to integrate and heal

A thorough understanding of asana alignment, both physically and energetically, including:

How to identify fascial limitations in your students’ postures

How to adjust postures to facilitate the release of fascial limitations

How to provide verbal coaching and physical adjustments to support a more significant release and exploration of fascial limitations

Who should attend this training?

Yoga students who want to deepen their understanding of asana and its effects on the energetic, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies will learn how to apply asana for physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual healing within the context of the fascial and polyvagal systems. Participants will also gain insight into how trauma becomes locked in the body's tissues and how to release it using a yoga practice to facilitate healing.

Massage therapists who wish to understand the application of the fascial and polyvagal systems in their bodywork practices. They will also learn to incorporate their yoga practice into their self-care routine and gain skills to guide their clients in supporting their bodywork sessions. Additionally, they will understand how trauma becomes locked in the body's tissues and how to release it to support the healing of trauma.​

​Mental health counselors and social workers who seek to understand the somatic-emotional model of therapy. They will learn to confidently offer body-centered practices to help integrate and release emotional holding patterns and trauma.



Our Faculty

Brian Ruhmann And Guest Faculty facilitate Training.
Brian has completed studies in various styles of yoga, including Iyengar, Svaroopa, Kripalu, and, most recently, Vira Bhava. He has received additional training in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. Professionally, he holds a Master's Degree in Exercise and Sport Science.

Brian combines his deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology with asana, yoga energetics, and yogic philosophy to support his students in realizing their authentic selves through yoga's physical and spiritual practice.Brian Ruhmann and guest faculty facilitate yoga training. The Yoga Teacher Training will meet one weekend per month on Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 am - 4.00 pm.
